Yerba Buena

Yerba Buena, is a creeping flat perennial that can spread to 3' but is easily held to 1'. It is is a native plant found in woods near the coast and coast ranges from Los Angeles to British Columbia. Prefers shade and moisture. Its leaves are used for a refreshing tea. A good ground cover without being aggressive, easy to keep small. Small white flowers appear from summer to fall.

Plant this super easy to grow herb in sun to shade, where is makes a lovely small ground cover that has wonderful fragrant leaves. It will also grow in containers. Water regularly.

Easy, tough and long lived, it smells heavenly & makes a healthful, tasty, mint-like tea. Used medicinally by native people for indigestion, insomnia, fevers, colds, arthritic pain & toothaches. Very pretty & deer resistant, too! Leaves can be dried and stored for later use.
