This giant melon with a very small seed cavity and excellent flavor. Plants are very disease resistance. 15-20 lbs. large, oval shape with medium, ropey netting. Medium orange, slightly musky flesh. Excellent flavor and foliage canopy.
Plant in full sun in soil amended with compost and a good vegetable fertilizer. Melon plants need about 3-4 feet of space between them.
Melons taste significantly better when vine ripened, so harvesting at the right time is very important. The stem area should be slightly soft, and fruit will have a delicate scent, and when tugged on, should slip right off the vine. Fruits may ripen off the vine a little, but never develop peak flavor if harvested too early.
