Cabbage 'Red Acre'

Cabbage 'Red Acre' produces vivid colored reddish purple heads that are 6-7 inches in diameter. It is a very colorful addition to the garden and to the plate! Plant in full sun, in well amended soil and feed with a high nitrogen fertilizer. This variety will hold up for long periods in the garden without splitting.

Planting your 6 pack: 18-24 inch space between plants. Water in after planting.

Harvest when heads feel very dense when squeezed. These cabbage heads will keep for a few weeks in the refrigerator. Use raw in salads, to make a fantastic cole slaw, and it can also be used in stir-fry.
