Brussel Sprouts

These compact 24 inch tall plants are slow growing and require regular water. Plant them now to grow through the summer and sprouts will begin to appear as the weather starts to cool down.

Plant in full sun, provide some afternoon shade in the hotter areas. Amend soil with plenty of compost to retain soil moisture and add a good organic fertilizer.

Harvest sprouts when they are at least 1 inch across. Cut them in half and sprinkle with olive oil, salt and bread crumbs. They are amazingly delicious!
