Moulin Rouge is a stunning, true red sunflower. The multi-branching plants make a dramatic accent in beds, borders and arrangements.
Plant sunflowers in full sun. They will grow in ordinary garden soil, but will grow biggest and bloom best in soil amended with compost and a good fertilizer. Space plants 10-12 inches apart.
To harvest flowers, cut them with a long stem just after they are fully open for the longest vase life. They are nice by themselves or mixed with other brightly colored flowers like Zinnias.
