Tomato 'Moskvich'

A Russian heirloom variety with good yields of round, smooth fruit weighing 6 oz. This variety stands up well to cooler conditions and still produces abundantly and early. It is a semi-determinate variety and will not get too huge.

Plant in full sun in soil that has been amended with compost and a good organic fertilizer that is not too high in nitrogen. Support these heavily bearing plants with a sturdy tomato cage.

Harvest when fruit are bright red and slightly soft to the touch. It is excellent eaten fresh in salads and can also be use to make a great pasta sauce. Moskvich tomato may also be canned to preserve for later use.

Eggplant 'Black Beauty'

An open-pollinated Italian eggplant with high yields and no spines. Large bell-shaped fruits range from 1-3 lbs and have a slightly lobed skin. Medium to thick skin is deep purple, and glossy when mature.

Eggplants want full sun and very warm conditions for best production. Amend soil with plenty of compost and a good organic vegetable fertilizer. Space plants 1.5 feet apart and water regularly.

Harvest when fruits are full size and slightly soft to the touch. Use in any of your favorite eggplant recipes. They are delicious in thick slices simply brushed with olive oil, sprinkled with salt and herbs and baked, or go all out with the Eggplant Parmesan!

Eggplant 'Snowy White'

Eggplant Snowy White is an elegant plant that bears beautiful white fruits with a medium to thick skin and delicate sweet, buttery flavor. Snowy white has a texture that is firmer and meatier than most varieties. It holds up well in cooking. Fruits average 2.5 x 7" with a nice green top. Plants are upright and sturdy.
